<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://countrymanfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/106_115505.jpg" alt="Marsden Tielkemeier" />Marsden Lee Tielkemeier, 78, died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 on his farm in Pecatonica surrounded by his family. He was born in Davis, IL on July 22, 1933, the son of Fred and Fern (Ashenfelter) Tielkemeier. Marsden graduated from Pecatonica High School and later attended night classes at Rockford College. On July 4, 1953, he married Karen Dean at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Pecatonica, IL.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956 as a member of the KRYPTO Security Service. Marsden worked for Sunstrand Aviation for 35 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the American Legion, Carlson Post 1207. Marsden was also a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Pecatonica, IL.  He was an avid sports fan; he especially enjoyed watching the Rockford Ice Hogs, the Fighting Illini, the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs.
Marsden is survived by his wife, Karen; Children - Leanne (Gregg) Ebens of Custer, WI, Matthew (Patty) Tielkemeier of Key West, FL and Kristine (Joseph) Pottratz of Stevens Point, WI; Grandchildren – Nathan (Kriss), Nicholas, Morgan (Dan), Alex, Scarlet, Peter, Taylor (Bentley), John and Matthew; Great Grandchildren – Saige, Iris and Bailey; Sister – Joyce Tielkemeier of Pecatonica, IL;and beloved family dog, Fila. 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 633 Reed St, Pecatonica, IL at 11am on Friday, February 17, 2012 with the Reverend Duane Hoffman officiating.  Visitation will be held at the Kenneth L. Countryman Funeral Home in Pecatonica, IL from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012. A special tribute will be given at around 7PM by DR. He was born May 16, 1960 the son of Luther and Anna Rachel (Ramey) Simmons in Wyandotte MI. Phillip served in the US Army.  P.J. was a loving, kind soul that would help anyone and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He worked for Asplundh – local 9 – Wright Current. P.J. married Cynthia Mcmanus on May 29, 1981 at the Church by The Side of The Road in Rockton, IL.
Phillip is survived by wife Cynthia; children: Tonya Gail Marsh, Megan Simmons (Ricky), Ryan Sitton (Chelsie); 15 grandchildren;  sisters Mahalia “Kathy”, Brenda, Rachel; brothers: Earnest and David; friends: Chaba, Rob Cook and the guys at the Union
He is predeceased by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 1:00pm Saturday February 4, 2012 at the Kenneth L Countryman Funeral Home, 118 E 5th St, Pecatonica, IL, with Rev. Terry L.Theiss of St. Johns Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 12:00pm until time of service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery in Pecatonica, IL.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://countrymanfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/106_114323.jpg" alt="Margaret Blade" />Margaret Blade, 93, of Decatur, formerly of Pecatonica and Albion passed away Sunday, January 29th, 2012. Margaret was born in Seward, IL on September 25th, 1918 to Benedict and Betsy (Green) Coton. She was married to Wilbur Lundquist, who preceded her in death, and to Gordon Blade, who also preceded her in death. Margaret worked for the Central Illinois Electric and Gas Company in Pecatonica, IL and later for Mitchell Insurance in Albion. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Albion, serving in several capacities. She was also a member of the Delta Philanthropic Sorority in Albion. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. In addition to golfing and swimming in her younger years, Margaret enjoyed reading, travelling and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. 
Margaret is survived by her son, Brian Blade of Decatur, IL; sister in law Joan Eaton of Shullsburg, WI; 16 nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husbands, parents, four brother and three sisters in law.
Funeral Services will be at the Countryman Funeral Home in Pecatonica, IL on Friday, February 3rd, 2012 at 11:00am, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Katherine was born April 28, 1925 the daughter of George and Lena (Suttman) Viel. She attended country schools and married Frank H. Lee on October 25, 1944. She worked for F&amp;F Assembly co. for many years.
Katherine is survived by daughters: Carol (Marlin) Mason, Gloria (Charles) Martine; Nine grandchildren and many great and great grand children; sisters: Grace (Floyd) Nyman and Alice (Wilbur) Mitchell.
She was prededed in death by husband Frank; her parents; and sister Jennie Lapp and Anna Mae Heitham.

Mckiski, age 88, former resident of Pecatonica, died Monday December 26, 2011 at Medina Manor, Durand, IL. Joyce was born January 28, 1923 the daughter of Alfred and Eva (Rafferty) Harlacher in Freeport, IL. She attended Freeport High School. She lived in the surrounding areas finally landing in Pecatonica. Joyce was a wonderful housewife. She worked as an assembler for several companies in Rockford. She was a lover of animals, music, dancing and playing bingo. Joyce and husband Ken were members of the Moose Club, Miniature Horse Club of America, Draft Horse Club and Teamsters.

Survived by Children: Patricia (Bob) Green, David Skridla, Stephan (Sarah) Skridla; Grandchildren: Peter (Lisa) Green, John (Susan) Green, Mike Green, Joann Skridla, Jennifer (Brent) Smith, Julie (Alex) Ruiz, Joe (Debbie)Skridla, Nicholas Skridla, Rhonda (Brandon) Trosper. NumerousNieces and Nephews. 

Predeceased by parents, husband Ken Mckiski Sr., brothers Eugene Harlacher, Russell Harlacher and Don Harlacher

Goebel of Rockford was called home to with the Lord surrounded by her loving family at 6:10pm Friday, December 23, 2011 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born June 5, 1948 in Rockford, Illinois daughter of  Weems P. and Birdie (Stickels) Hodges. She married Peter B. Goebel on June 5, 1968. Becky was a wife and homemaker for the majority of her life. Later Becky was employed as a Burr Handt at Rockford Burrall Machine Company. Becky will be remembered and cherished by her loving family. 
Becky is survived by sons: Captain Perry B. Goebel, Ryan P. Goebel, and Mathew F. Goebel, daughters: Melinda K. Rivers and Kattie L. Conway. Survived by father Weems P. Hodges, sisters: Peggy Haradine, Vicky Braun, Jennifer Kruse and Beth Dishno, brothers: Mark Hodges and Matt Hodges, 12 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by mother Birdie M. Hodges.
Graveside services will be held at 10am Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Laona Cemetery, Durand, Illinois.

Herron" />Pauline Catherine Herron, Davis, age 88, died December 4, 2011. She was born in Freeport, IL on February 16, 1923 the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Fisher) Schramm. She graduated in 1941 from Aquin High School in Freeport, IL. Pauline married John R. Herron Jr. on November 28, 1957 at St Joseph’s Church in Freeport, IL. She worked for Furst McNess in the office doing accounting and billing for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pecatonica, IL. Pauline crocheted afghans for all area nursing homes and over 100 for residents, she also made hats and scarves for people as far away as Chicago, New York and Washington, DC. She was a Great Baker making breads and especially her Cookies! And she loved to do it.
Pauline is survived by her husband John of Lake Summerset; daughter Anne Herron of Charles Town, WV; and 20 nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents; infant son; brothers Alfred, Lewis, Edward, Alphonse and Paul Schramm.
Visitation will be held at 9:30am with prayers at 10:15am on Wednesday December 7, 2011 at the Kenneth L. Countryman Funeral Home in Pecatonica, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Pecatonica, IL. Msgr. Robert Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in Pecatonica.

Green, 94, was born December 6, 1916, Leaf River Towhship, daughter of William and Cora (Kendel) Betz. Shedied on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Edna attended rural one room schools in Leaf River Township and graduated from Leaf River High School in 1934. Edna married Homer Green on November 12, 1935 in Dixon, Il. She was an active member of Seward Congregational Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, a charter member of Seward Historical Society, Charter member of \"Lady Land Owners\", member of Pecatonica Garden Club and Special Friends \"Birth Day Friends\". Edna was interested and active in agriculture, nature, was the family historian. She enjoyed traveling and many friends.</p><p>Edna is survived by sons Howard Green, Missouri; William Green, Pecatonica, Il; grandchildren Dr. Glen Smith, Houston, Tx., Alice Struhlmacher, Wheaton, Il., Linda Smith, Hillsboro, Or., Karl Green,Missouri., Carmel Hirschuber, Pecatonica, Il., Heather Green, Dakota, Il., Erin Green, Dekalb, Il., Heidi Green, Beecher, Il.Clayton Green and Caryn Green of Pecatonica, Il. Phillip Green and Rita Heitman of Missouri; Great Grandchildren Michelle and Anna Stuhlmacher, Skylar and MycahCassell, Cora and Sam Hirschuber, Amber Witter, Nina Christopherson, Rio Llamas and Lilly Green; brothers Max (Dora) Betz and Lyle Betz both of Leaf River.; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.</p><p>Edna was predeceased by parents. <p><span style="\">Merlyn Myron Dirksen &ndash; Pecatonica, age 87, died Monday August 29, 2011. Merlyn was born July 13, 1924, the son of Edwin and Gladys (Chichester) Dirksen, in German Valley, Illinois. He graduated in 1942 from Pecatonica High School. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Marine Corps. on May 13, 1943, and discharged February 7, 1946, as a Corporal. In October 1946 he started in the Post Office as Postmaster and retired in 1980. In 1950 Merlyn helped the inception of theD&amp;R Little League and was a coach for 13 years. He was a member of Eugene Barloga Post. Merlyn married Ida M. Meyer on June 21, 1947, at St John Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Men&rsquo;s Club and held many church offices, member of the couples club, secretary of Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery for many years. Merlyn also worked at Eickman&rsquo;s as a Boner for 18 years. </span></p>
<p><span style="\">Survived by his wife Ida (Meyer) Dirksen; sons Richard (Deborah) and Douglas (Barbara); grandchildren, Michael (Tina), Alissa and Kimberly (Robert Rhodes); great-granchildren, Drew and Chloe; great-great grandson Parker. Many nieces and nephews.</span></p>
<p><span style="\">Predeceased in death by parents, grandparents, sister Vivian, brother Rolland; nephew Douglas Neil; grand-daughter-in-law Michele.</span></p>
